Developers: Add PlayStation buttons
It's 2024. Why is Xbox still the default?
Please add PlayStation buttons to the UI.

probably because you're using an input emulator to make your ps4 controller use xbox controls.

This was bugged back in the beta too. I found a workaround where it would use the PS buttons if you open steam big picture mode, then went into the controller settings and disabled the playstation compatibility, then launched the game afterward.

This trick only works if you have the controller plugged in with a cable though; if its wireless it wont detect any button inputs. Having the controller plugged in after doing the big picture mode trick is the only way I could get it to work.

I haven't tried it yet with this full release so I dunno if this still works, but its worth a shot.

Um, no. I'm not. PS4 and PS5 controllers are recognized by Steam. :steammocking:

The inputs are identical, why does it matter unless you're a snoy unfamiliar with both controllers?

I don't have to justify anything to you. Did you think otherwise?

It's something I want and many other people agree.

It's a basic feature included in most games these days. Street Fighter 6 has it.

DEAD ISLAND 2 has it.

It genuinely bugs me seeing button prompts for a different controller, when I see X I press X, when in reality game wanted me to press Square because xbox prompts.

Go play Yakuza, or any other game with QTE, if you want to see why that is a problem.
