Couch Co-op online?

Pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaase. I don't care if it would lower the fancy player count number and make the suits mad, this game already broke records and is literally free to play. There's no legitimate reason not to have couch co-op online. ♥♥♥♥, it would probably help the server load.

If you're doing couch co-op then you aren't online i'm not really sure what you're talking about there. If you're asking for LOCAL CO-OP that's already a thing and you can do that right now assuming you played the "beta" you can still download the game and play offline with someone in the same room as you. Online implies you're playing with people from a distance not on your couch with you

Super Smash Brothers Ultimate lets you play 2v2 online where it's you & someone who's sitting next to you in your house VS a different Switch console of two people who are also couch-cooping.

This is a terrible implementaiton, of course. It restricts 2v2s to exclusively couch-coop VS couch-coop, not allowing any players to make parties with friends online or queue solo to get matchmade with teammates. But if couch-coop was just an option added to the rest of them instead of the only option, that would be great.
