Jake's moves don't connect when they should AND have hitboxes?
linked are some screenshots to show what I'm talking about, it's very frustrating especially now that the game is slower so I just have to watch myself miss what should have landed and then i get punished for it. I'm not opposed to Jake's arms having hitboxes but it feels pretty cheap to not even trade when moves connect with each other, or I get hit whenever I attack a projectile.

A follow up clip to show the jank I'm talking about with jake's arm hitboxes, I shouldn't be punished for correctly aiming my move.

First of, you mean hurtboxes.
jakes arms having hurtboxes is not a bug most likely but pretty standart. dhalsims arms have them, even axels chains in GG have them. so thats just how these chars usually work.

i watched the clip. it looks jank at first, but he kicks your fist and yall both get hit. it makes sense with the hurtbox thing he said

once again, I said I'm not opposed to the idea but it looks jank and feels cheap when I'm so far away, and I never said it was a bug. I'm more so spreading the hitboxes of the moves not hitting when they should, any comment on that?

its neither jank nor cheap.
moves not hitting when they look like they should is a general problem the game has. nothing jake specific. so: char fine and working as intended.

moves not hitting when they look like they should is a general problem the game has. nothing jake specific. so: char fine and working as intended.
ah yes, characters missing their moves when they shouldn't is just a part of the game so it shouldn't be documented so it can be fixed, makes sense to me :)

the issues with jake missing moves is not a jake issue. its a game issue every char faces. so in other words: jake is fine game is not. thats all i said. not so hard to understand.

Can we transition this into a general hitbox jank thread? lol
I've noticed that several characters have hitboxes that dont seem to make much sense and some that even somehow hit BEHIND them when the animation is clearly in the front. Also hitstop making active frames stupidly long which is a pain in the ass for doubles. I wanna lab to double check but some of those characters I dont have unlocked so... :\
