lack of options for local is dumb

Like seriously, the only way to play with someone sat right next to you, is through an offline "local" match, there's not even the option to choose between free-for-all and 2v2!

I really don't get why you can't let me play things like Rift, or 2v2 against people online with my girlfriend sat next to me

This would not only keep people like myself interested in the game for longer, it would also help with overall online population numbers if everyone could bring a friend or partner to play online as well

I don't get it, I know most people arent bothered but I know I'm not the only one

This is even more absurd by the fact that Rift even has some missions that require having a friend with you
