input lagg?
Why does it sometimes feel like there is some input lag, character moving really slow or attacking really slow?

People might also mean that the game is slower. Because it is. It does feel like moving through water compared to the responsiveness and speed of beta.
I really would like to see a comparison of animations frame by frame from the beta and now. At most it only feels about 30% slower to me (honestly probably closer to like 22ish% I wanna say)

Which is significant for sure, but I suspect most players that are not fighting game veterans would not notice it. I really do hope someone has enough Beta footage for a good comparison though
Honestly I'm a casual player and I noticed it immediately. Just doesn't add up to my muscle memory. I actually only recently uninstalled the beta, kept playing in the lab from time to time, so its fresh for me. I do have footage as well. Just too lazy edit and post a comparison. lol
I'm sure there's also footage of the beta on the youtubez too. And yes the slowdown is about 30% like you said, plus I guess the buffer thing messing with responsiveness. Idk, its just overall not responsive and snappy like before.

As someone who almost never edits their vids for their gaming channel, I 100% understand the lack of motivation (I don't believe people are lazy, I believe they are under motivated, but maybe it's just me xD)

I hadn't played the Beta since it shuttered so I'm mostly just estimating off of what I remember Garnet's combos sounding like. I'm not even using the same controller because now it's a King Kong 2 Pro and then it was a Dualsense so I can't really trust my muscle memory

I also play Smash and Brawlhalla as well (though neither lately) and nothing ever feels as responsive as Brawlhalla so I'm always a little jaded on responsiveness and what it should and shouldn't feel like

anyone knows what exactly does the "latency frame" option do?

It kinda sounds like a poor translation of Nvidia Reflex; or perhaps the "We have Nvidia Reflex at home"

Not totally sure though

Do you mean "one frame thread lag"? It can improve your framerate at the cost of possibly increasing input latency.

I honestly thought it was lag at first too and even disabled Vsync, which I rarely do, but then I figured out how to consistently replicate it and figured out what was up.

What's funny is I completely guessed it was half a second based on how it felt, and it turns out to be 30 frames exactly. It was nice to find out I haven't lost my fighting game senses in my old age, even if it had to be like this lol
Yeah I always knew that the buffering system was obnoxiously overbearing (except when you actually want it to work, for some reason it's just completely disabled while you're airborne) I just thought there was also input lag. Turns out it was only a combination of my controller and the game's enormous default deadzones.
Oh ya, I say that 58 and was like "WTF!?" and turned it down to 38.

Ended up not mattering just a few hours later when I noticed I can swap dpad and stick and now just play with the dpad (old street fighter and koF habit. used to wish Smash would let me Dpad)
