Why is Joker 6000?

No. It doesn't require him. Because I earned 100 gems and completed that rift entirely and I DO NOT OWN HIM. You seem to be under the belief that you have to 100% every task within a rift to complete it. You don't. Like I stated before. Having Joker only speeds up completing it slightly. He is not needed to do the rift. In fact i'm at like 110/100 on that rift.

As for weeklies i'm not sure if they are entirely random or not. My friend needed rick or morty to do his and he doesnt have them so. My weekly is all Jason related.

you're putting way too much expectation on the developers, newer characters costing more is not a new concept in gaming.

No its not but he is a launch game character. Who should be priced the same as all of the other technically launch game characters.

It's not. But it is unnecessary price gouging. I really wish devs would quit doing it. Not new still doesn't make it right.

'technically launch game characters' except they aren't they're characters most players already unlocked in the first release. I don't understand why the idea of new characters being more expensive is so mind blowing to you.

Does not matter. That was a Beta this is the launch game. This is base cast who should all cost the same. Especially with beta players losing all fighter currency. Instead that all went into the useless Perk Currency.

I don't understand what your point is, is it that everything should be affordable because I agree but that's not how the world works. They have a new character players haven't experienced and they want to incentivise people to pay for it.

We already got 3 free characters in Jason, Agent Smith & Banana guard.

My advice here is to add someone off recent players who seemed to be good from 2v2/1v1. Look for people here on steam. Or use the Discord which has a lot of helpful and willing people in it and they already have LFG channels.

I get some people will be upset that they can't solo it all 100%. But i'm pretty sure they are trying to make you interact with the community more.

After all this is a teamfight based smash clone and also a online service game. So as far as expectations go I assumed I would will be interacting with other people when I choose to play a online team based game no different than lets say OW or LoL. Now I wouldn't complain if they allowed you to finish everything solo. But I think I see the idea they are going for when trying to make the community interact more. Maybe they will fix it so solos can do it without needing specific characters after feedback. Sadly this mode wasn't in beta so it's not like they know how we would all react to it anyway.

Can't get one of those characters. And the incentive should be for people to buy his big cost Prestige skin. Not to just unlock another mediocre character that you lock progression behind.

His prestige skin is clearly there as a long-term goal to keep people playing (not that I'm sure it'll work).

At the end of the day the developers want money, they know people will want to play Joker he's a big name & brings a lot of hype. Full release or not the developers will capitalise on that.

Or you didn't read my responses at all which are toward the beginning. You don't need joker to finish the rift.
