I'm now remembering why I don't like or play smash or any fighting game.
Some games I literally just get smashed, crushed, pulverized into the ground and while I hit them once they hit me with a 30 hit combo and instantly killed me within seconds. I'm already starting to experience the god like people who know everything about a character crush me into dust and make me feel like ♥♥♥♥ cause they've been playing melee since they were 5.

Its only gonna be maybe a month or 2 after release when I completely drop the game due to every other person becoming an absolute god at the game cause i don't know every single combo for every single chararcter while everyone else does.

I have zero friends. and playing against bots is just the biggest way of saying "i'm a ♥♥♥♥♥"

based on your response history and this reply to me, I can tell you are an individual with low self esteem. I suggest that you maybe put down the game if it isn't good for your mental health. I mean that sincerely. I'm sorry if you feel that you don't have any friends and if you aren't satisfied with playing against bots. Maybe check back on the game in the future to see if it's to your liking with possible changes.

I play against bots all the time. Bots perform based on your skillset and character level. If u use a lvl 1 arya against a bot, it will at max be lvl 3. What you seem to be looking for is playing a game that fits more to your skill level. Bots are the way to go. There's nothing wrong with that.

But again, if this really is causing you this much emotional stress, then please don't keep putting yourself through this. I am sorry you're feeling this way, man.

theres no satisfaction to winning against a bot, winning against an a.i isn't exactly fun at all. and losing to one makes you realize "oh i'm worse then a robot."

You really need to grow up. Everyone fights bots. Everyone. If you think it's unsatisfying to play single-player games, but you're also too impatient to fight real people, just don't play video games. Get a different hobby.

Dude, you really need help. Like, I'm being for real. I wrote all that and all you got out of it is "fighting bots". Idk what issues you have but you really need to learn that losing is part of life and you don't get better unless you lose a lot.

I'm serious, get off this forum, uninstall the game, and please get some help. Get some off-screen time. Go for a walk, do jumping jacks in your room. Draw. I don't care. Just do something good for your mental health.

Chances are most of these players have never played smash brothers but instead have decided to practice how to play, watched character guides, trained combos in the lab. Meanwhile you just whine in the forum.
nah most did play smash or other platfrom fighters, boys gonna get wrecked yo
As is the way with fighting games

I mostly play these sort of games locally, glad there's no pay wall behind characters in this game when doing 1v1

Another option for more casual play is to just try and find people on your friends list, or online, that are also mode casual at fighting games

In matchmaking with fighting games, yes it's very competitive crowd.

Imagine we all show up to the university soccer field to play a free pickup game of 6v6. Then someone complains that someone else is in better shape than them and know the sport better. Their recourse is "I know why I don't excersise and play sports now cause people are better than me and it ruins my experience".

Do you know what people do in real life pickup games? They try their best and sweat their bum off, enjoy the sun and shoot the ♥♥♥♥ with other people and laugh and clap for passing the ball and making plays between players. We have people of all skill and fitness levels playing together for casual games on the field. No one cries about imbalance or unfairness. The purpose of this silly analogy is to get you to think how disconnected people are from reality in any PvP related game. It's not a 1 to 1 comparison of scenarios but it should scream at you how embarrassing this is. It's like the social merits of real life are simply not translating over to online.

The state of the online gaming is absolutely insane. To me it showcases the infantile maturity level of fully grown men and women and how sadly underdeveloped the average North American gamer is.

I agree with the other poster above. Your self esteem is so low you probably should seek some good help before it's too late.

Literally its quite impossible to enjoy something unless i'm winning at said something, and given the fact I suck ass at basically everything regardless of whether I try or not. It leads into an infinite cycle of me sucking ass and wanting to give up until I eventually do. I haven't played any kind of sport in ages given that nearly every time in the past I horribly missed and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up so many times to the point where people legit were getting angry because I suck ass regardless if it was just for fun. I have fun when I get lucky every 30 games and win a single match, its the only reason I play videogames at this point.

its hard to handle loses when every single match is a lose unless they literally just stand there.

I suspect the reason you don't get good at anything is because you never really commit yourself to anything.
You can't really complain about losing if you aren't willing to try harder. If you are too lazy to "Grind" anything, then all you can expect is losses. It's not that you suck, it's that you are about as skilled as the amount of work you have put in.
It wouldn't make sense if you could win, when you don't put in the effort and someone else does.
I think you just need to try committing yourself to something for once, instead of running at the first sign of failure.
Running away from everything, then complaining about not being good at things is not a healthy way to live. You are as good as you want to be.
Sure, if you were to put in 1000 hours and still be losing to people with 5 hours, then that would be a different topic all together, but I don't think that would be the case.
Baxxley 8 aug. 2022 la 19:31
Dude the cool thing about this game is that it just released so it means that lots of people are learning.
Meaning you have more chance to find a fair match.
If you don't find one right now u need to accept few losses so you'll get down the MMR and you'll get matched with someone that has your level.

If you want to get better you'll need to invest a bit of time. That's the nature of getting better in everything in life.

I know accepting loss is hard, but when you'll get your win you'll feel even better.

Also you shouldnt feel bad to play against AI, you can still have fun like this and learn the game like this.

You picked the wrong genre then, go play a single player game because there's no such scenario where you win every time in MP regardless of what you play.
This just happens in every fighting games.
In this at least you also can meet unskilled people since it s more of a party fighter.

I'm sorry dude, you sound like you need serious help. U seem to have super low self esteem. You gotta lose a lot before you really start getting good at anything. You have to be wrong many times and accept that you're wrong and grow from it before you even start to become decent. That's just life. You really need to work on yourself and have better emotional intelligence and emotional maturity. You honestly sound like both a spoiled brat who needs to win at everything to be happy and also a pathetic sad boy who just wallows and cries "woe is me". Toughen up. Grow up.

Lol, 95% of people are and always will be trash at the game ( i mean any game). If you get so dominated you are either v unlucky or just on some new levels of bad.
There's no point in complaining tbh, if you'd actually focus a bit more during game and start thinking about it, 50% winrate+ is reachable by simple thinking while playing.
This isn't any different than any other genre.
Also you dont really need to know any combos. When i was newb to online fighting games i got to top xx in tekken without knowing any combos so you surely dont need any in MV
Here in MV im top 500 and i hardly know any combos

There is a ranking system you're going to match up against people against your skill group

I started playing Tekken 7 just now. People playing this game for more than 20 years and I am only getting bodied. But I enjoy the learning experience. You, on the other hand, don't like to learn, You don't want to put in any work. You want an easy way out and that is not going to happen in any competitive game or activity.

Here is one of the most valuable tips I can give you. Cherish this if you really want to keep pllaying fighting games and maybe learn to enjoy them!!!

Don't make your enjoyment exclusively depend on your W/L ratio. Try to enjoy each single moment when you get off a combo, dodge, ring out an opponent or even when you get punished by something new. Value the learning experience because it makes you a better player.
Change your mindset! Even if this is easier said than done. Even working on your mindset will bring you more joy with the game.
