not even a morty main. just thought id feed back that aside from dair, morty has no kills (up-air CAN kill if lucky but hits as hard as his hammer... soft
his knockout power should really be buffed. even in 100's morty cant kill you unless your actually off the stage or he lands dair

Lol, both his spike and upair are pretty strong killing moves. He's got tons of utility, saving moves, he's hard to kill, he's got tons of projectiles and area denial. Not S tier but definitely a strong pick and git gud issue.
Seriously I've been doing tons of spike kills on 20 dmg already.

Then why create a thread when you acknowledge that he has AT LEAST 2 good killings moves. As I said, on top of that he can survive a lot, got projectiles and utility. A+ tier at least

Short: he needs a buff

capable readers:

superman: any move can kill. not just knock back. kill.. like from anywhere on stage. nair, dair, sair, up-air, side-air combo, and every special aside from ice breath.
wonderwoman: shields and basically superman
quin: huge combos, the best dair in game
iron giant: best tank, massive damage, multiple kill options
bugs: everything on this dude is broken
taz: can turn into a walking hitbox, and somehwhat decent kill options
batman: once leveled possibly the best brawler, hard to ko, weaken and good kill options
finn: insane control of kill options
jake: imo most broken character, like superman literally everything is a kill option and he has the best moves imo as he has huge damage at range on multiple moves.

but lets look at morty again:

2 highly situational and not at all easy to land unless your playing a bot kill options.
his MAIN combo is super slow, low range, and does near to no damage.

all his skills are either useless (down sig heals 4 health and tells everyone where youre going...wow) are hard to land (side sig) (grenade) or go on cool down if theyre useful (snake gun)

positives: most moves in the game
negatives: none of those moves are good.

but what was that? A tier? does that make everyone else S tier considering hes definitely the worst pick in the game?

i literally 1v1'd another morty as superman and stood infront of him and did nothing. just to see if he could kill me. i went to 151 damage before DAIR. THE SUPPOSED GOOD MOVE. Could kill me.

meanwhile i hit him once at 90 health and watched him fly off stage without getting the chance to recover.

morty. is. weak.
morty. doesnt even deserve a tier. F tiers are better than morty. i dont even play morty that often but i KNOW. he needs a buff. thats why i made this post.

You can't base a character's power on their kill moves. Superman has a lot of options, but that's not actually the reason he's strong. It's mainly his dodge distance and down-special, both of which enable pretty stupid combos. Taz can turn into a moving hitbox, but that doesn't matter when half the roster (including Morty) can easily tap him out of it. Most of Finn's kill options are ground-based except his bag, part of the reason he's not doing that well right now.

If you're referring to Morty's ground combo as his "main combo", you're already doing it wrong. It's bad. Everybody knows it's bad. Therefore it's no longer his main combo. He almost always initiates with an aerial (often preceded by a bomb or laser), which all have reasonable range and damage. His axe, for instance, almost always hits first.

I'd give you some tips on how to use his attacks and specials, but you sound like you've already decided he's trash until someone kills you with him.

because projectiles makes someone high tier? bro get outa here. in honsety i think im just better than you so i camt understand half the points. Oh no a bat-arang. superman can just jump once and land on the opposite side of the stage. hes def A if not S. mans most basic combo goes 30-50 damgage based on build. morty? no matter what 25 if LUCKY

Yes, good projectiles can make someone top tier (combined with other advantages). Projectiles = chance to hit enemy for free without any risk.

Velma projectiles are slow? You realize you can aim with most projectiles and it's 2v2 environment. Any pro will say the same thing. Strong projectiles are OP
