Uh, you know you're wrong, right? The game WILL put them in an empty instance. Barren, if no one else of that gearscore is actually around.
Not like many do that. Too many are subverted the gear system but equipping total crap and then relogging to get put into a lower GS instance, then reequipping and going hog wild.
Carefully thought logic like this from a business sense flies over most of the heads of people.
I absolutely agree with you, but I don't think the devs will reign it in. Because it's quite clear they want this design, so that as time stretches on, they can justify heavier monetization with equalizer purchase gear in the store. Create enough disconnect between the newer players struggling to progress, and the try hard constant-pvpers, and you'll put pressure on players to spend money to close the gap.
It happened on the RU servers. To think that it won't repeat itself here is lying to oneself. Peak playercount is 8k according to SteamDB, low points are anywhere from 2k-4k. The high points seem to coincide with prime time over in EU, with prime time in the US being around that 3k average mark. That is absolutely quite sad for a F2P game that's got to survive off of a microtransaction sub service currently.
Ask yourselves, how feasible is that in the long run, to keep the game running, to keep funding development and dev salaries, etc? When you expand out of the one market, RU, over to US/EU, you effectively have two versions of the game. Two versions of the server. Two things you need to develop for, pay for, etc.
It will go the same exact way all F2P games ultimately go. Heavier and heavier microtransactions to fund it. It doesn't take a crystal ball to see that. The sad fact is that's how the game is designed. Give it a few months, we'll see purchasable gear in the store.
This game can run on pretty much anything, It would be quite the missed opportunity to not make it as accessible as possible. Really want the devs to see that, but i have a feeling that they won't. I don't know if it's just because these smaller devs are stubborn or simply don't have the resources to bring major changes like these, but, this wouldn't be the first time.
In the meantime, give it a few more shots i say, this game is fun, it really is despite the more "turbulent" parts of its player base.
This is exactly why I keep playing solo. Because I noticed this. And it bothered me. So I decided I would just continue to attempt to do everything myself, which is also a struggle.
If they made it to where everyone in a squad who is at least helping gets the same amount, I would be waiting for squads to start popping up for farm parties. lol.
no, just grow a pair and stop whining. or quit.
This game is designed for PvPvE. Doing some minor adjustment is ok. Not totally change the game. It's NUT.
There are some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who are trying to spoil the game for everyone by camping at lower level map but it is what it is. Happened in the best MMO game WOW before.
My worries right now is cheating with aimbot and wallhack.
Would you like to know how the "Best MMO's" fixed it? By making PvP and optional thing. IF Ultima online can do it, which is the grand daddy of all MMO's in existence today. Then why can't something like this? People keep saying that the entire game is structured around PvP, but I can pull up my deaths/kills and how many mutants and such I've killed and unless I go OUT OF MY WAY, I don't kill other players unless I need to. Why? Because there is no reason to. You gain nothing, zilch, nada, zippo for doing so.
Most would pay to access the servers, you could have it that premium is required, so at some point someone somewhere is paying money to go it.
But nope this community is knee jerks in to stupid when we suggest PvE
Bet most here don't have premium anyway
No there is no reason other than the need to fill your psychotic tendencies. You dont get anything for it. You set someones progress back making them loose stuff, and the more it happens the more people will want PvE or quit.
The PvE zones should have new enemies and much stronger NPCs/nests/dungeons to really give the PvE crowd a challenge.
While the new PvP zones should offer rewards for killing players and faction buffs for holding specific locations.
That way the base game is left intact and dedicated pve/pvp players can do what they love and be rewarded for it.
u like pvp , go to pvp server
u like pve , go to pve server
everybody happy.
The short answer is cost. The game is free, their only source of revenue (From our side.) is cosmetic boxes and premium subscription time. Unless they go to a sub model, I don't think they can do a PvE server, so it would be better for minimized loot rewards with PvE optional or something. I don't think anything is going to come of it, as the game is quite well established, but PvP at the moment serves little to no purpose outside of just "Doing it."
Oh sweet summer child, if only it was that easy. I am hoping they reconsider the PvE suggestion because I don't want to play a block version of tarkov every time I have to head out of the damn town.
oh sor I use google translate, this stalker type online game lot of player know the stalcraft not the only one, If they still have pvp server, they finally will become another games ex: "will to live online" or "stay out", so what different stalcraft to that 2 games?only minecraft stalker?
yes, free to play game,it's mean more players to play game have more chance to make money right?
so why don't they make pve server? server too expensive?
