Cheap tools / tools

Hi all, just wondering what places or things I should be doing to acquire more tools for upgrading my gear up to +5? Can’t say I’ve found them very often at all.. any pointers would be much appreciated! Long live the bandits 🫡

Hi!
The main source of tools in the game are airdrops in the endgame areas. You can also earn them from the Combat set, which is received from playing PvP Standoff gamemode. Please note that gear does not scale in that gamemode. In the future there will be more ways to obtain tools!

if you're lucky you could find them in crates/cupboards anything you can interact with

tools are used to enhance armor and weapons

There is also another way to get tools. Every zone from and including dead city/graveyard and up has a chance to spawn tools in loot containers.

Yeah, I found a basic upgrade kit (tools I think their called) in a random crate one time! I was either in Dark Valley or Cordon at the time, can't remember. I've gotten a few more from quests. Was able to upgrade my assualt rifle to +4 and my SMG to +3

To give your weapon a +1 upgrade with the tools, just find a technician NPC in town (icon looks like a wrench). Talk to them, then drag your weapon over to the left, and the tools, then click the bottom left button to upgrade
