Best Weapons

Can you all give me some general recommendations on what weapons I should be going for? I'm new to the game with 22 hours in it.

finish the story and get into the north zone for end game and try grinding out the battle pass. the grind to get end game weapons/geat is long timegate so youll have time to figure out. by the time ur can craft end game stuff the meta may have changed by then so id focus that more when you get there. current meta is ak-15

I would say that the meta is Ash 12 is one of the weapons that can only be bartered through lyubech 4 (hell on earth) as well as vssk exhaust is of the best killing weapons in the game.

You sound like a new player and need equipment for new players, not end game advice. For new players, the quest weapons that helped me the most was the "Shaman's boomstick" sniper rifle, and the "PP2000 Anchor" SMG, and the Hunter's MP-133 shotgun. All can be acquired by quests and are enough to get you through the PvE until you get to the bar. From there, it is up to you, but the main quest line will give you free machine gun and armor.

I've been playing a month and the story weapons are good enough and helps me with low gear score. I'm now at the north and between that and my upgraded crafted Assault rifle (L85A1 +5), it's pretty balanced (with most players purple gear), whilst I save up for better assault rifle / armour / shotgun. Of course the crafted weapons are better but the game is still a lot of fun and headache free as I gradually get the resources needed.
