Good or bad?

I read that game is p2w but is it really that bad? Or is it still playable and fun even if I pay little or non at all? Also, how common are cheaters? Should I be worried?

I earned all my gear though playing & grinding resources.
The pay aspect comes into play at end game.(mostly) But its optional.
Season Pass & Premium are the only thing I spend money on. You can also buy Premium from other players for in game currency. Also the Season pass as well.

For cheaters I didn't run into my first one till I hit the north and even then, it wasn't that much. The issue is they only ban the cheaters character not their account. So they will just make a new character with a letter difference at times.

Yeah you can pay for weapons and armor however pvp is usually about player skill and not gear, as far as cheaters go there are a few and some people think that everyone who kills them is cheating.

Its more pay to catch up for gear, but you cannot just pay for gear better than what others can craft. So you could come in and drop whale money, have endgame gear, and still be bad at the game. skill matters here

Pay2win is when you can buy equipment stronger than the free equipment. And all these cases are avaliable trought BM checks.

It's both, stronger items or same items faster. Since you can buy in-game currency, via tradable battle pass for example, you can buy whatever you want from market, with exception of faction reps, and thus it's definitely pay-to-win.

game is pay to win. anyone who says otherwise is either cheating or paying to win or even both. theres a lot of weapons and armour free people cant get without spending and unless youre minmaxxing the battle pass its still nutty.

that being said the game is fun, the community is both insanely toxic with either "GeT gUd" "SKilL IsSuEQ! etc... or some people can be incredibly helpful. also dont play solo. either play with friends or make friends with someone who knows the game. also the grind is real. its on the level of other bigger MMO's.

the grind starts small with low level weapons and gear, but gets almost too big at the mid game, slows a little in the early late and then the late game grind gets massive which while it should be expected is still a little too large imo.

that being said overall the game is fun, the atmosphere is great. the gameplay is a mix of ok/good with absolutely frustrating and the playerbase seems to exacerbate issues but also help at the same time.

I'll assume 'late' means when you're mostly just doing weeklies for serums, but super lategame grind gets even worse. You basically hit a brick wall where further progress means collecting 300-400 adv. spare parts to upgrade one item, or hoping to get lucky and find good purple+ artifacts.

lot of butthurt responses in this, as some 1 that started 2 weeks ago its not P2W you cant even really pay for gear, you have to unlock it via loot boxes which you can open 100 and still not get a good gun, You can and will die to some dude with MAX lvl gear from time to time, but you can also still kill them if you get the drop on em. Maybe if your in ASIA or RUS region you run into hackers but i have yet to see a single one on US servers

cheaters and exploiters are very common. u will find people using ESP, radar, turning off their hitboxes, shooting through solid objects, teaming between enemy factions. do yourself a favor and dont start the game. It is fun at the beginning if u have at least one friend to play with, but once u get to the endgame u will notice all the flaws. oh and i forgot to say that when u report certain KNOWN cheaters and RMTers, the devs will ban YOU for "false reporting" even though the entire community knows, that that person is cheating. Probably I will get banned on this forum for writing this and it will be proof of my words.
