When you replace a weapon with another in your inventory but there isnt enough room in your inventory for the replaced weapon, it just disapears?

[Existence]

This is a game mechanic called Temporary storage (TS). When TS is active, you can see a red or white question mark next to your weight at the bottom of your inventory. After you free up space in your inventory, the question mark will disappear and your weapon will appear back.
This mechanic will also appear if you try to trade with someone while your inventory is full, you will get traded items, but in TS. Also, if you die, non-personal items will disappear, unlike personal ones.
