Did they remove the assigning hotkeys for items?

The game used to allow you to assign hotkeys from 1 to 9 on any item, but it doesn't seem to work anymore.

It lets me put the numbers, but not use them. I assigned Bandages to 8, but nothing happens when I tap 8.

That isn't how it works. Check your controls menu for 'Quick Access', which will bring up the quick select wheel.

To use your hotkeyed items you have to hold your quick medical key which by default is "C"
This opens a radial wheel to select your shortcutted items. Personally I wish it was just press 1-9 while outside the menu to use them but w/e.

You can also use a similar radial wheel by holding "R"eload and "G"renades. to quickly swap ammo and grenade types.

I changed my keyboard configuration and now i cannot use the radial menu. Maybe something like that has happened to you...

Yeah mine never worked but I changed the keybind immediately and im new. I'm guessing it's a bug.

Did you actually set items to your wheel? Unless you open your inventory and press 1-9 on the items you want on the wheel then it won't even show up when you hold the button.

Thank god someone mentioned this, I was having the same problem and just fixed it as of post cause of this thing that is literally not mentioned anywhere from my knowledge
