First: NA, EU, SEA and RU - there's no cross-play between this servers, so you all need to join the same server in order to play togerther.
Second: Instances (people call it "servers" but theres not actually servers) - for example: Cordon # 1, Cordon # 2 and so on (to check which instance are you at, just look above the minimap)... every map have multiple instances to split players with different "levels" (based on gear, kda, how far they got on story, etc...). To "bypass" this just create a party with your friends, so you will be able to play in the same instance.
It's important to know that, if your friends already joined a subfaction (Mercenary or Covenant) you can only be at their party if you join the same Subfaction.
Gotta have separate economies because if you don't then there is nothing stopping thirdworlders from buying premium for like a nickle and flipping on the Auction House for a nice sum where as real countries have to pay like $15-$20 for the same item.
If you're trying to decide what server to stick with, EU is the way to go. Staff have completely given up moderating NA. Hence why they've nuked the EN discord and why the ban list for NA is always <5 while every other server gets an actual list.
I'm sorry but is exbo so inept that they really believe that their users are going to trust them when they say there are absolutely zero cheaters in an mmo? Least of all when a major event like Dead Man's Marathon happens. Major event like that and there's not an uptick in hackers and cheaters? Yeah right. We'd be more willing to believe the crap Favlav spouts off than that BS.
