Any tips for a noob?
Other than "Git Gud" and "Trust noone", what other tips can yall give a humble noob like myself, so i know what to keep in mind with this game, while trying to get into it?

Also, how much of an advantage gives premium, and can it be grinded for ingame (like some games allow)?

Make use of the quick item wheel for things like healing, bleeding, radiation, etc. If you hold down the key that quick heals, it brings up the wheel and you can select items much quicker than going into your inventory. Items can be mapped to the wheel with your number keys and they don't overwrite your normal keys (like weapons 1 and 2, and 5 for your bolt.)

Is the key 'C' by default? i can't access it for some reason

[edit] I figured out why. I need to slot items to number keys first to access the wheel.

I believe it is C by default. It's called "quick access item" in the keybinds menu, but holding it will bring up the wheel. Mine defaults to using healing items when pressed.

some quick tips that have helped me.
-you can buy premium with in game currency. its listed on the auction house. I think it just helps ease the grind for barter items is all.
-the number next to your minimap tells you how many players are around you (also includes you in the count)
-different armor tanks damage differently. If you are PvPing take ceramic armor.
-don't forget food buffs, they help when you need a little bit of extra stamina.
-don't be greedy. Get loot and get it back. If you overstay for that next camp you will probably die.
-only take shortcuts and high traffic areas if you absolutely have to. Better to take the long way around and be safer.
-DO NOT hold sprint everywhere. You make yourself a big target for the enemy.
-once you get to cordon look into different ammo types such as AP, probably come in handy.
-ask people in base if they want to group.
-if you are getting tilted, go do something else.
-Good Luck Have Fun.
biggest tip i can give u is doing ur grinding in the morning, not sure what timezone u are but for me when I was grinding it, logging on at like 1 am and grinding till like 2 gave me a lot of alone time to get some grinding done. when i mean alone time I mean there were barely any players. other biggest tip deals with weapons. If you wanna keep up with pvp/armor. The safe route for a gun is going for the M16 because of incen 556 with other guns except for 762. Or you can go the meta which is the ASVAL/vss route. For armor I would definitely go the explorer route because overall its decent and its really powerful with artifacts (which you should be looking for because its part of the game). However, if u just wanna crap on people in pvp go centurion but its kind of a waste because of faction armor.
i started a few days ago, level up the first area fully, ( Ataman level 5) and then you can unlock some weapons and attachments, that should help you a decent amount, i just finished that area and im now in cordon doing the same, thats for the stalkers faction, but the bandits probably have something similar at their base

you can also double click on the map to mark anything you want, i use that feature to mark anomalies
uninstall the game and never come back, the game is toxic, the people is toxic, you will become toxic, you dont need this in you life, leave now that you can.
The number beside your minimap is the number of players nearby, it might be an enemy or a friendly
and the game is quite complex in what it refers to, but in a few words the basic mechanics are the anomalies, then the farming system. and the story mode is not a big deal and it does not influence much whether to rush it or not. but my recommendation is that you go advancing little by little, seeing what you would like to manufacture and what meh things, and go chill. On the other hand, within my experience I can already rush it and all that. because I have much more knowledge. but in general, if you want to be able to enjoy it well, I recommend you go chill and if you want to make everything easier, rush the story, like the buyart
As far as weapon goals, it's not a big deal like armor and all that. It depends on the way and your tastes. they all got the FN2000 but it is one of the worst weapons in the game, if it is good yes. but it is not the big thing as everyone promises it to be, then other things like armor and all that each one will decide, if you are a bandit the SKAT-9, Damage Centurion, Combo are armor that will withstand the Rad 2 of those areas. "Red Forest"

but when we refer to the part of the stalker that is Yanov it is already another world there it is better to wear a scientific armor like a Seva or Lolite.
As for the rushing of equipment and that. I recommend you go little by little, because if you rush equipment and other things. it is more likely that you will be sent to high LVL servers which means that you will possibly run into players with a high level of equipment and play which causes your gaming experience to end in total boredom. by campers, toxic etc.
My recommendation if you want to play on Low lvl servers always and without being sent to high LVL servers, never make any type of weapon, only the following weapons. "Vintorez, m16, As Val, Rpd, vereseker, P90, Saiga, Protecta" are weapons that clearly have a branch but will not send you to high lvl servers.
and as for armor it is simply "scientific, combo pilgrim-5, explored Skat-9, Legionary and Worn osh" if you craft the armor that is ahead, they can send you high lvl servers. These are things that many will not understand, but playing on high level servers can lead to bad experiences if you are not used to it yet. I am with a stalker account with 700hrs in Low lvl still. since I know how the balancing system works and stuff. and I take advantage of the mistake. I know many bugs, game errors. as artifact farming routes. since my 1300 hours of play are not only pvp. They were also studying and other things
And if you ask how long does it take on average to rush the full game if you die-you don't die. and the exact time full but full to finish it are the following "this includes knowing the game 100% well, the abnormalities, missions, routes, etc.

Stalker Time to finish game: 1:40hrs or 2:30 hrs
Bandit Time to finish game: 2:10 hrs - 2:30 hrs

This difference is due to the fact that the story route for the stalkers is faster and easier than the bandits in terms of equipment that they ask for and how easy it is to rush.
start drinking the 100% extra stamina drink the vendor sells.
it'll speed up the walking simulator part of the game
