Pistols are useless now
Unless it's the Glock, you'll need half a mag to kill a mutant in the North because the damage increase per health decrease buff was removed. It's no longer a viable backup weapon.

my dream +5 struggles up north, It use to pull its weight in Limansk.

This update is about punishing players further in while feeding the egos of the earlier game players.

We are now basicly forced to follow the meta. everything else doesn't do.

Yikes. Imagine having to grind out the signals in multiple areas which give a low chance for schematics for a UNIQUE weapon and having it get scuffed and be non-viable in end-game.

EXBO, is this really how you want to reward your players for their grind and their time?

Yea it seems like some weapons got unnecessarily destroyed but exbo has said they're looking into evening them out.

But whether you like it or not, with the toxic community this game has fostered, these changes were necessary for the game to continue progressing. I know from personal experience and from what I've heard from others, if you progress incorrectly you'll be met with people whose whole life revolves around destroying your experience. Legit whenever I would log on, no matter the time of day, these people would be running around areas like the pit and deadcity with max cent and vitality/br builds just killing everyone they see, and with how incredibly fast the ttk used to be it was basically impossible to do anything about them, and if they happened to get killed by someone, they'd just be back within a minute or two. This got to the point where even if you placed stashes all around the map, what normally would take an hour to farm up would now take atleast 10 hours.

Now you actually need good mechanical skill to be proficient at the game (which most of these losers apparently don't have).

I'm not attacking the point of having a rebalance, in fact I was looking forward to it. What I'm attacking is the fact that the rebalance implemented was not thought out and probably not tested as it's affected guns that should still be viable or performing better.

Pistols were in a good place. They were good as a backup weapon because of their range and they were only really viable in close range and even then could be countered and outclassed by shotguns and rapid firing primaries, but with good manuevering and positioning you could take someone out with a pistol still in CQC. For mutants they did their job well because of their perk. Now it's not there anymore, and with the way Melee damage and Melee protection is broken right now (lol at how Dog packs became more deadly than Chimeras and Pseudogiants overnight) pistols were scuffed hard because they can't shut down mutants (especially dogs) fast enough. Now you actually have to rely on a shotgun especially in the North when dealing with mutants, and it gets tedious to keep swapping out primaries while you're clearing mutant dens and then heading off towards clearing camps in your loop.

And do I really need to expand on how stupid the fact that the unique weapons were scuffed and affected badly as well? There's a huge time investment in those unique weapons, and now most of them aren't viable to use. They should have playtested this rebalance more. At least now the Saiga isn't the be-all end-all now.

Yea I do agree that maybe not everything was fully thought through, but I don't think it's anything that can't be fixed with a little bit of time (though ig with exbo it might not be that little). Idk I might naive believing exbo will even things out, my experience with them doesn't go that far.
Overall even with all the broken guns and armor, I think the game is in a much better place than it used to be. Even if every last bit of my gear got made obsolete, I'd still be ecstatic.

Generally I feel that NPC's wasn't nerfed enough to compensate for the guns, but Pistols in general compared to AR's and snipers feel where they used to be. My Colt is equally nerfed to my other guns haha.
