PvP is staggeringly pay to win with nonexistent matchmaking for instanced pvp meaning youll always be paired with the no life, poop socking whales who are literally un-killable 1v1. There does exist one map with gear normalization but its almost always empty. Whats worse are the droves of blatant hackers and a 20hz server tickrate that will have you dying before you can even react.

Open world has gear based matching but past mid game is punishing for new players. It will frequently pit them against much higher geared players should they make the easy mistake of equipping even one item from a too high quality tier (something the game never warns you about). This is seemingly designed to punish the player and force them into a never ending grind giving the impression should they grind long enough or pay enough they too can reach that upper tier of player power. The truth of the matter is unless youre willing to invest 1000s of hrs or spend an equal amount of real $ then youll never be able to compete.

End game zones and events are all dominated by the top clans basically making much of the content unplayable meaning some of the best loot locations and top tier weapons/ attachments will never be obtainable by 99% of players. Quarterly held season events are just more grind/ encouragement to P2W with the latest event being a total joke of mind numbing gameplay and meagre rewards. It expects players to invest a minimum of 40-60hrs inside the event over the course of only 2 weeks to gain the top tier rewards which wouldnt be so bad if it wasnt horribly designed and soul crushingly boring to play.

What is most galling about Stalcraft is that there are so many things right with the game but theyre completely overshadowed by the developers greed, treatment of the community. and inability to hear player feedback marring the entire experience. If you do decide to play it for the love of god dont open your wallet for them, and dont progress beyond blue colored (stalker) gear. After that its all downhill.

TLDR; A game made by greedy, incompetent developers that preys on the nostalgia of stalker fans. Can be fun for the first half but by the time you reach end game there's literally nothing of interest left to do, only brain numbing grind and repetition.
