How many players can play KallaX online?

2 to 6
There is a 2-players mode and a 3 to 6 players mode. Note that 2-players mode is a bit different than 3 to 6, and a bit harder too.

Can I play solo?

Nope! KallaX is a cooperative experience and it is not designed to play solo. You won't be able to launch a solo game.

Can I play on my Steam Deck?

Yes! KallaX has been tested and approved by our team and community on Steam Deck! To communicate with your friends with Steam Deck you can use Steam's voice chat or call your friends on a third party VOIP.

Can we play with remote play together? / Is there a couch-play mode?

No, you can't, KallaX is not a couch-play experience, it is an online experience. It was not designed to have several inputs on the same computer, you won't be able to play with remote play nor will you be able to play on the same computer.

Do you plan on doing splitscreen / couch-play modes in the future for KallaX?

We don’t plan this for KallaX as it goes against the principle of the game where only one player can look at the instruction manual at a time.

Do we all need to have the game to play?

Yes, you do! Only one of you will host a game and all players with the game that are in your friendlist will be able to join you / be invited by you in the lobby.

Why can't I buy multiple copies for a discount?

Because Steam canceled this feature and it is not possible to do that anymore. We would really have loved doing this, but instead we decided to lower the general price of the game from what we had in mind so that it's the same as "buy three, get one for free".

What are the inputs I can use to play KallaX?

Mouse + Keyboard
Controller (Xbox / PS5 / Switch)

You can remap all controls. In doing so you can make it so mouse is not necessary to play.

How do I communicate with my friends?

You can use Steam voice chat by creating a group chat in your friendlist with the friends you want to play with.

You can also use a third party VOIP such as Teamspeak or Discord.

Can I buy the original soundtrack?

We are not selling the original soundtrack of the game, composed by Alexis Laugier, but you can find it and listen to it on music streaming platforms.

What are WeirdoZ?

WeirdoZ are Swedish meatballs that have been sent to space with their furniture store following the explosion of Earth. After millions of years in space, they mutated and gained consciousness.
They have no idea they are meatballs. Please don’t crush their dreams.

The game is way too expensive in my country, what can I do?

We have done our best to adapt the price of the game to the average wage in each country. If, however, you feel that the price of the game is still too high in relation to practices in your country, please let us know, and we'll do what's necessary to balance things out.
