So I literally just found out, that if you make an item filter but don't set it to anything, it will stop sparks which are carrying anything, only allowing empty sparks to go through.

This is an immense discovery that should be explained, as it makes perfect sense to use on waypoints and other long-distance deliveries.

Same goes for having sparks go to a place, not find anything, then have to travel all the way empty just to get back. Easily solved with an item filter, but that's a whole other discussion.

Point is, build an item filter, don't set it to anything, and it will stop any spark except an empty one. Legend.

Be careful because a filter with an item, will allow empty sparks through.

Well, turns out, sparks can really get stuck with these signs, so use them sparingly

Glad you had this discovery :) I'm actually also using them like that frequently in my bases.

Not sure about the explaining bit, that's for our designers to decide, but it's good feedback!
