Crafting Crafties Teir 2

I found the crafty spark shrine but it says i need machine range 1 to start it. What does this mean?

You can unlock these conditions in the "big shrine" in the city.

The monument in the village (it also serves as a waypoint from map view and binds to V or gamepad-UP at map view) has advancements. You just turn in the item(s) requested for each one and it unlocks. This is how you get access to higher-level Sparks, fast travel nodes, and some abilities like the Rush Attack and Lock On feature.

DAMNIT, why is there NOWHERE in the quest log a clue where to do this, and why does it say " You talked to the divine researcher about the crafty spark shrine mentioned by [quest log con] machine range 1"

well that's not helpful because i'm literally already reading this quest description IN the quest, which itself is in the quest LOG that has the icon you're telling me about.

So i get the recursive runaround o.O

Hello! You should be familiar with the village monument from the very first quest line. But what you're saying is that it is not clear enough that there are further upgrades after that and you should revisit it to check on new unlockables?

I definitely forgot about the shrine in the city by the time I got to this. Mostly because I was so obsessed with figuring out all the pathing switches and stuff haha. Maybe a little in-game hint for those of us who are forgetful? ^^;

Love everything about this game, btw, it's like programming but easier. And cuter. :P

Honestly a reminder would be nice. Same thing happened to me. I felt stuck at "crafting crafties tier 2" because I didn't remember where to unlock it and had forgotten about the shrine in the city. Was running around for 20-30 mins before i came here for the answer.
