That's like comparing Palworld to Pokemon, there's similarities and clear inspiration, but they're not the same thing. By that logic every single shooter game would be a blatant ripoff.

It's a very very different game from pikmin.
Yes, the sparks are thematically like pikmin, and you throw them like pikmin, but that's the entirety of the similarity.
They even carry things differently, with pikmin working together like ants to carry a large load, and sparks carrying things individually.

All these people comparing the relationship to that of doom and FPSs, or Palworld and Pokemon are accidentally implying there is far more similarity than there is.

This is about as close to pikmin, as "Bugs vs. Tanks!" is to pikmin. They both have a thematic link, but are otherwise entirely different games. (both have small plant like minions to that do stuff for you, and you throw, or both have you play as a technically advanced protagonist in a back yard on the scale of bugs)
