...It's literally pikmin.
Saying oddspark is pikmin is like saying tinykins is pikmin ._.
i advise you to play the game if you haven't before jumping to conclusion :D
Oh yeah no, no nothing like pikmin. I mean you just get followed around by groups of little creatures that look and sound exactly like pikmin and then you throw them at things and they collect resources and build things and kill enemies just like pikmin but yeah no it's not pikmin no it's nothing like pikmin.
It's not trolling, it's an observation of blatant copying. If you're gonna sit there and pretend this game isn't a blatant rip off of Pikmin you're fooling yourself.
Then any FPS is a blatant copy of Doom... bla bla bla bla you know the drill.
Yes, the sparks are thematically like pikmin, and you throw them like pikmin, but that's the entirety of the similarity.
They even carry things differently, with pikmin working together like ants to carry a large load, and sparks carrying things individually.
All these people comparing the relationship to that of doom and FPSs, or Palworld and Pokemon are accidentally implying there is far more similarity than there is.
This is about as close to pikmin, as "Bugs vs. Tanks!" is to pikmin. They both have a thematic link, but are otherwise entirely different games. (both have small plant like minions to that do stuff for you, and you throw, or both have you play as a technically advanced protagonist in a back yard on the scale of bugs)
