Rhythm Tower ended due to bug during Mimosa

I had 4 plus minutes going into this fight and didn't have any issues prior. The final section where you parry her attacks was not working. It was like Chai was going at a different beat because they felt slow. I managed to get through the first one but the second one goes too fast. All 4 minutes drained down and my time was wasted.

Is this a known bug I can avoid for the future? I don't even know what caused it.
