Game is good, but also trash.
Game is good tbh with characters, story, music, and SOME gameplay, but for the most part, for people who arent good, or like rythem like gameplay, its really really bad. I was playing on hard, and got to final boss, and get stuck being forced into the rythem moments where i have to match what that attack, or else die and start all ove,r which made me drop the game. For people who like rythem games, this has to be one of the best games ever, but for me who is musically inclined, and never been good at these types of games, its just eh gameplay wise, and made me drop the entire game right at last boss.

I give it a 8 out of 10 tho.l More good about it than bad.

I don't know man, his logic is sound. I'm pretty bad at fighting games, so I'm gonna assume it's because the games are just trash as well. /s

Funny, I dropped the game at the same spot for the same reason. I otherwise thought the game was good (could have used more combat and less platforming, but whatevs), but the final boss was a rather large difficulty spike, and an irritating one at that, so needing to redo it after having "won" killed all momentum I had for the finale.

I was also on hard, but it didn't feel like a hard difficulty before the finale. Before the final boss I actually had to check occasionally if I was still playing on hard as the game otherwise was a total cakewalk.

It seemed the reason for the difficulty spike was mainly down to how much damage the attacks did to you. Attacks that would cause chip damage in other fights would knock off a solid third of your health bar, and it was chaotic enough that it was often hard to see what was even going on, so it felt like some of that usual chip damage was inevitable at times and left you with no health (or just dead).

Brags about having to check the difficulty; quits once the game actually presents something that's hard for them.

People are just ♥♥♥♥ at video games.

You give the game 8/10, but you say it is a trash?
I don't know your logic.
Musically inclined means you're talented in music btw. You mean the opposite.

You can look up "how to be more musically inclined" and train yourself if it bothers you.

Basically, just like hum, tap on your desk/table, bob your head to a beat, etc.

Also, Kale's 2 rhythm sections are easier than Korsica's and Mimosa's. Its a steady beat. You dont have to go for the no damage achievements to enjoy the game.

I definitely see where your coming from and I feel the exact same way. I'd rather be pulling combo after combo like in Devil May Cry or God of War (old one). In this game, it really asks you to take your time with the attacks and time it just right. What sucks though is that the visual indicator (for me anyway) doesn't line up with the beat in the way I'd like it to (both cat and circle one), so I have to go off what I'm listening to, which also doesn't help since the timing is very finicky between button press and said beat. But I'm still going strong because the story is much wow, but if it weren't for that, than why would I bother. Have a fantastic day!
You dont even need to time it right actually. You can just "mash" to the beat and you'll get easy A ranks in the Just Timing category no problem. Wont work for pause combos, but you dont really need em. Just gotta find the beat in the first place. If you have some lag or something, gotta make sure you're settings are right like turn off the low latency settings, your monitor settings, or Nvidia Control Panel settings. DMC and Gow are harder than being good at Hifi Rush man.

The game does straight up tell you at the beginning "Hey, this is both an action game and a rhythm game. If that is 100% what you are into, go for hard mode. IF YOU ARE NOT INTO ACTION GAMES, NOT INTO RHYTHM GAMES, OR BOTH, DO NOT CHOOSE HARD, THIS SETTING IS NOT FOR YOU AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT YOU WILL HAVE ONLY YOURSELF TO BLAME" (paraphrasing a bit, naturally)

Not to say that the game is above criticism. Just that "I played the game on hard mode and I didn't like how hard it was" is a pretty asinine criticism. Instead of dropping the game outright, maybe just try an easier setting, you can change difficulty any time in the pause menu

"The game is good unless you aren't good at it."

HUH?
Skill issue.

The game would be good if it ran.

sounds like a skill issue

games are allowed to be hard. Not all games are for everybody, some games are niche and that is okay. I didn't think that needs to be said.
