So what happens now?
Saw something that the songs they use in the game have a license that will expire, sooooooo
Does that mean this game will eventually get delisted after the license for the music expires??

Most likely, just like Spec Ops: The Line. The difference is, there's no physical launch, so one day this might become one of the lost media (since there's no way to pirate it for preservation with denuvo still intact).

Well, lost media maybe a little bit exaggerated since so many people own it on steam.

Doesn't matter, since the game already has alternative soundtracks for the licensed songs.

This. At most they might just outright remove the licensed tracks and make "Streamer Mode" default.

What the hell happened to the LRG physical editions? I've been keeping an eye out for those since they were announced and nothing.

That said, Denuvo will be bypassed at some point and as noted there's an alternative soundtrack. Should be fine.

yeah there's alternative soundtrack but who's gonna remove the license one when the time comes? clearly not tango. microsoft probably won't ask any other party to bother with the license and just removing it from steam just because it's 'easer'. "We're a multi-million dollar company, removing 1 game shouldn't affect us"

well I hope I am wrong. perhaps removing the license music is easier than I thought.

Well, the good news is Quantum Break just went through this with licensed music and MS just updated it.

MS has been talking a lot about game preservation and forward compatibility so we'll see if they stay true to that here. If not, we raise hell. lol. But I don't expect this will ever be delisted given it has the original soundtrack.

only DMCA songs will expire (Streamer Mode songs will stay)

Damn I come back to this game to play the Invaders Must Die segment I'd hate to see that go

I got the game through the new humble monthly and I got a warning that I had to redeem the key somewhere in June at the latest, normally the keys from humble have no time limit. So yeah I think it will be delisted in June.
