classic case of expectations outweighing the reality.
the game has the hype for a reason, a lot of people like it. you might not, that's ok. move on with your life.
There are a lot of people who love the FIFA games, including the ones they will vouche for as the best in the series; doesn't me you catch me DEAD playing any of those games.
That might be chapter 3, but u cant get a refund when u reach that point.
So it depends on your choice.
Like, do you not care at all to test your rhythm timing against the higher difficulties? To test your own skill potential? That's one perspective you could try to explore while enjoying the story and experiencing the game's unique implementation of its genre's features.
That said, the game is not entitled to your time nor are you entitled to a grand experience. If you don't like hack-and-slash mixed in with a rhythm component and you're not interested in how it was done compared to other games like it - Skip it. Our time is limited, go spend it on something you enjoy.
The in-between arenas and platforming is pretty meh and kind of drawn out sadly and which almost made me abandon the game.
Would be nifty if it had a FURI style mode where you mostly just went from combat to combat.
The world is nice to see and look at, but it feels too much like just trudging through it with little peaks of excitement.
