I haven't fought a boss in a while
They are still not limited to boss fights though. Easy example is the second area of track 10, the big fight against normal enemies in the cafeteria, is copyrighted music.
The album (The Slip by Nine Inch Nails[en.wikipedia.org]) is not "free" without restrictions.
It is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike (CC BY-NC-SA)[creativecommons.org], meaning:
- you can download, share, and modify it for free,
- you must credit the original artist and indicate any modifications,
- you must use the same license (CC BY-NC-SA) when redistributing,
- you cannot use it for commercial purposes.
Tango would have had to negotiate a separate commercial license to use and modify it for the game.
