Anyway, heavy agree there. Denuvo needs to go away
Shame they put Denuvo on their awesome titles :c
Wish there was an option on Steam to make a wishlist/follow option for games to notify you if/when Denuvo and other 3rd party crap (Origin, uPlay etc) is removed from the game, because from the looks of it, gaming companies are very stubborn about removing their extra crap, that at some point I might get conditioned into just giving up on those games from the start, rather than checking back when I remember to...
I can understand why a developer would want DRM in their game.
Also, I agree that 3rd party softwares should not be necessary to play a game.
While piracy is a concern, putting on Denuvo hurts the game a lot, even if HFR is really well optimized. If looking by that angle, without Denuvo it could probably run on even weaker PCs
Not really relevant to the point, since there's no physical PC releases anymore besides codes and such. Not to mention how LRG is infamous at that.
Yeah, they should definitely get rid of that. I unfortunately purchased the game before becoming aware of the issue.
Say, how does one figure out that a game has Denuvo on it?
Denuvo, that's the problem.
It does, but Denuvo does not deserve a single cent.
You know, it severely hurts any professionalism in your argument when you end it with "XD"
And there have been multiple examples of Denuvo hurting performance, Sonic Mania's stuttering was confirmed to be caused by it, several games had better performance once the DRM was removed. It inflates a game's exes by several hundred megs, you think that's going to have zero impact?
Ah yes, the classic "You just want to pirate the game" nonsense, despite the fact that the day Sonic Mania removed Denuvo I bought it. Same happened with Soul Calibur VI. And despite the fact that you can clearly see that I am currently playing though Slayers X, a game that just came out less than 24 hours ago and has no DRM yet I instantly bought it. Clearly, with my Steam account having over 1400 games on it (and that's not even counting games I have on consoles since the NES era) I MUST just be some filthy pirate who wants the game for free and not someone informed who has seen the mess Denuvo has caused in the past as well as it's predecessor Starforce which actually damaged people's CD-ROM drives back in the day.
"Do not think! Just consume! Ecks Dee!"
The game is running flawless. Even Digital Foundry confirmed it. This is one of the most optimized games this year and will run on any bucket pc. Stop acting like it's some kind of terrible state of the game because of the DenuvoXD You just don't know what you're talking about. It's not a broken piece of code like 99% of the games on the market today that don't work properly even without protection. The game is smooth from top to bottom. And your identical copy-paste posts "Danuva ruins the game!" only confirm your ignorance. Hmmm, who better to believe DF and those who played or the whiner from the Internet lol your words would have some weight if the game worked BAD. Then you could blame Danuvo
