Remove Denuvo + GOG Release
I request that this game have it's draconian DRM attachment removed, and be released on GOG. Previous Tango games, aside from Ghostwire, have been sold on the platform.

Dunno why someone gave this guy the clown, his points are quite valid
Anyway, heavy agree there. Denuvo needs to go away

Agree. Especially adding denuvo to Ghostwire was a shady move on their part. I’m skipping all tango releases from now. Bought evil within 1 2 on gog

Here's hoping it has to do more with Bethesda rather than Tango, since they're the publishers
Shame they put Denuvo on their awesome titles :c

Putting denuvo in a game is like not putting prices on your menu at a restaurant.

Bump, will lead to people not crashing more.

Steam recommended this to me because of the weekend deal, thought I'd check if Denuvo is still there, because the game is getting old at this point, so I figured maybe they would've removed it... nope, still there, so I'm still not buying, lol

Wish there was an option on Steam to make a wishlist/follow option for games to notify you if/when Denuvo and other 3rd party crap (Origin, uPlay etc) is removed from the game, because from the looks of it, gaming companies are very stubborn about removing their extra crap, that at some point I might get conditioned into just giving up on those games from the start, rather than checking back when I remember to...

I am trying to decide whether or not the problem is Denuvo, or the DRM.

I can understand why a developer would want DRM in their game.

Also, I agree that 3rd party softwares should not be necessary to play a game.
Mmm..well since we are here, physical release on Limited Games maybe?

Denuvo itself is the problem due to how it can impact performance in the game, it relies a lot on the processor while heavily embeded on the EXE file of the game itself AFAIK (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)

While piracy is a concern, putting on Denuvo hurts the game a lot, even if HFR is really well optimized. If looking by that angle, without Denuvo it could probably run on even weaker PCs

Not really relevant to the point, since there's no physical PC releases anymore besides codes and such. Not to mention how LRG is infamous at that.

Honestly, I am shocked that the game is only $30, there are far simpler and less polished gamer that go for $40-60. The price isn't an issue with me, I will gladly pay $30 for it right now, but I refuse to support Denuvo. Going to buy this game sale or no sale as soon as it's removed, but not before.

Ok, so Denuvo is the issue. I understand that now.

Yeah, they should definitely get rid of that. I unfortunately purchased the game before becoming aware of the issue.

Say, how does one figure out that a game has Denuvo on it?

MOST publishers are kind enough to warn that a game has it on the Steam store page (this one does for example). There are websites/groups that track and list which games have Denuvo or any DRM if you want to make sure, and even which games remove it, there are such groups on Steam even. And one way to usually tell if you have already purchased a game is if the game's main exe is massive. Denuvo has a telltale sign of inflating the game's exe by hundreds of megs, and so far every game which removed Denuvo has had it's exe filesize drop dramatically. Sonic Mania for example, it's main EXE was I think 117MB at first, but after Denuvo was removed it was reduced to 3MB! Several other games that had like a 300-500MB EXE and used Denuo but have since removed it have had that EXE drop to usually below 100MB.

Buy the game, what's the problem? It deserves every cent. And do not talk about the "harm" of performance, because there is nothing to harm XD The game works perfectly and is not demanding on performance. You just want to pirate the gameXD only dude there is a catch, I guarantee you 99% that you will still buy it later))) Because it is THAT good, so just Buy it nowXD

Denuvo, that's the problem.

It deserves every cent.

It does, but Denuvo does not deserve a single cent.

And do not talk about the "harm" of performance, because there is nothing to harm XD

You know, it severely hurts any professionalism in your argument when you end it with "XD"

And there have been multiple examples of Denuvo hurting performance, Sonic Mania's stuttering was confirmed to be caused by it, several games had better performance once the DRM was removed. It inflates a game's exes by several hundred megs, you think that's going to have zero impact?

The game works perfectly and is not demanding on performance. You just want to pirate the gameXD

Ah yes, the classic "You just want to pirate the game" nonsense, despite the fact that the day Sonic Mania removed Denuvo I bought it. Same happened with Soul Calibur VI. And despite the fact that you can clearly see that I am currently playing though Slayers X, a game that just came out less than 24 hours ago and has no DRM yet I instantly bought it. Clearly, with my Steam account having over 1400 games on it (and that's not even counting games I have on consoles since the NES era) I MUST just be some filthy pirate who wants the game for free and not someone informed who has seen the mess Denuvo has caused in the past as well as it's predecessor Starforce which actually damaged people's CD-ROM drives back in the day.

so just Buy it nowXD

The game is running flawless. Even Digital Foundry confirmed it. This is one of the most optimized games this year and will run on any bucket pc. Stop acting like it's some kind of terrible state of the game because of the DenuvoXD You just don't know what you're talking about. It's not a broken piece of code like 99% of the games on the market today that don't work properly even without protection. The game is smooth from top to bottom. And your identical copy-paste posts "Danuva ruins the game!" only confirm your ignorance. Hmmm, who better to believe DF and those who played or the whiner from the Internet lol your words would have some weight if the game worked BAD. Then you could blame Danuvo
