So you are never gonna fix the hibiki bug?
Got the game as a present on March, game has never worked. More than six months after launch, you haven't fixed a bug that prevents the game from launching.

I am sorry ot hear that, but the majority of the players can run the game without issue. This means that it is not an inherent bug of the game, but something on your machine that is preventing the software from running.

I suggest trying to figure out what on your machine is causing this.

What nonsense are you talking about? The bug is not on my end, it's on the game's end. It happens to a minority? Yes. They are not fixing it because it only affects a minority? Yes. Will I ever buy a Tango or a Bethesda game from now on? No.

ive been having this issue since the March Update, and still no fixes

You've provided zero information on your setup, so I have to ask a question which might seem entirely moot; Do you meet the minimum requirements to run the game?

This article might also be of some help. Again, generic info warrants generic answers. If you could provide more information you might get more specific help.

If you've exhausted the troubleshooting steps in that article, you can follow the instructions here to submit a support ticket and get more specific support to resolve the issue: https://help.bethesda.net/#en/answer/55893

I've submitted not one, but 2 support tickets. They ping ponged me back and forth between people who had me do the same steps over and over, then eventually just said "Well, thanks for letting us know, we'll make a note of it for a future update." and marked it as completed. It is 100% not worth sending a support ticket.

Also, it is 100% a game issue. If you roll back to before the Photomode update, the game is still 100% playable. Anything after that gives the Hibiki error

I've provided zero information because I am not asking for help. It's obvious the problem is not on my end, Last mention of the error was in patch 3 "Fixed an additional instance where a “UE4 Fatal Error” could occur". An additional instance doesn't mean all istances. It means "We have fixed some istances that cause the error and some we have not".

You didn't give me a generic answer, you gave me a fanboy answer. Tango belongs to Bethesda, which belongs to Microsoft, which is one of the richest companies in the whole world, and you are telling me that if I don't try unpluging my Xbox controller before launching a Microsoft game on Windows 11, it's my fault that it doesn't work? It's on my end? For real?

Fanboys, refrain from defending some multimillionarie company in this thread, please.

Youre gonna get a lot of those and "it works for me, so its a you issue" responses. Don't worry, youre not alone in the Hibiki Crashes :)

I beat the whole game at launch, the photo mode update which claimed to fix the error gave it to me instead and I haven't been able to play it since.

Yeah, some people don't understand the world is larger than them.

Hi guys
So is there any news on this? I bought the game on launch but only got to a PC that would meet the requirements now, and I seem to have the same error as y'all, which is extremely disappointing as I was very excited for this game
The only thing that manages to load is the huge BETHESDA inscription and then everything fails. I'd say it's irony, but I guess it's just proper cause and consequence at this point lol

Is there any way to play this at all, or did I just give them money for no reason

No its your end which is why its only happening to you. Learn how to use a computer.

Chances are your CPU is more than sufficient to run the game, but lacks support for the AVX instruction set that's being called on. The fix is simple: Tango needs to recompile the game without the AVX flag enabled. It's not even being used anyway, it's entirely superfluous!
Problem is though, most people these days have CPUs capable of AVX/AVX2. Those that don't, such as you and me, are in an unfortunate minority that's not really worth catering to in the grand scheme of things.

TL;DR: It's not a bug, it's an oversight in the compiler that likely won't get fixed because it doesn't matter for 90% of people. Fingers crossed it does, because I'd love to play this game, but chances are it won't.
