korsica X Chai ship?

So far she's been the only one to actually compliment him and not sound backhanded about it.

They stem from opposite ideas but actually build off of eachother.
Plus Chai took a liking to her immediately, even taking her "Mission Briefing" instead of Peppermint's "Mission Report" of which he'd been exposed to more.

Though it's also a bit hard to say definitively; as Peppermint seems to have a crush on Korsica herself (both blushing at her compliments, but also in the credits scene she's shuffling in to her before Chai shows up)

You know when Peppermint makes that "UUUGHGHHHHHH" noise when someone makes a bad pun? That's first thing I hear in my head when I see something regarding ships in Hi-Fi Rush.


Here's a fact, Chai had bigger love interest towards Gift Basket than anyone else.

Edit: you're a Bleach fan, I can now understand the hate for shipping as a concept. To be honest; if I was a part of that fandom, I'd hate shipping characters as well.

You're more likely right about the lesbian thing; I mean it's 2023 after all. Eh, sometimes the ships you want the most is what you get the least of.

Thing about Hi-Fi is that on reddit I've seen some obsessive amounts of shippers who insult everyone that disagrees, and for a moment it was frequent. Heck I've been declared a "phobe" for not seeing a relationship between Peppermint and Korsica working out so there's that. To me their friendship is the most beautiful part about the cast, together they work as one.

I just assumed you were a bleach fan because you know; it's showed off on your profile. That and I can get that; the village idiots in any fandoms the more niche it is, the louder they are; shipping can get a little... aggressive.

I'm not going to lie; reddit festers this kind of behavior and other online platforms as well (I'm not going to rant about the karma system) but generally the toxic shippers tend to work overtime compared to other toxic parts of the fandom.

I don't think peppermint and korsica are ever going to be interested in chai like that, hell, not even chai shows any romantic interest to any of the girls,just unadulterated bro/friends energy

Only thing you can hope is if Tango ever makes a HI-FI RUSH 2 with new characters and one of them happens to be down bad for chai (or chai down bad for her, which ever way works)

And now im having a pessimistic feeling they could damn well use that to make a "Aha i got you!, i was actually with the bad guys all along!, i never felt anything for you!"
man, i would feel extremely sad for chai in that scenario

Why Peppermint? Not that I hate the ship; she just always seemed like the lesbian type, Chia's more laid back nature with a tech girl I could see working.

I mostly shipped Chai and Korsica because personality wise they mesh better and seem better for each other; Peppermint seemed more corrective and cold with Chai than Korsica.

It seems like the canon ship is gonna be Ppprmt and Korsica, here's hope for a goth gf/bf in the sequel for Chai
