Kale bossfight with no damage taken is pain....
I don't know how many Retry's i needed to do to finally beat him..., but it did took me over an hour and a half
and dosen't help i went and done that on Rhythm master difficulty, so if i standed around like a idiot, D rank for DEATH would have'd Rip my soul out

High rish, High return chip is a must have for every "Take no damage for this bossfight"

Weird that these challenges exist when the game teaches you that there is no problem in taking damage,as it does not affect your score, but the only exceptions i find odd are korsika and these murals challenge

Trying to do that on Rhythm master difficulty is definitely masochistic.
Outisde of the D rank game-over on that difficulty, Kale's little sentinels also attack more, upping his final phase combos into a 4 hit attack (2 sword swings, 2 sentinel lasers).

The most annoying thing I find is when two sentinels randomly decide to fire right before Kale does his giant arena-sweep attacks.

Some challenges can be really frustrating to complete. I've completed Rhythm Master with all S-Ranks, but I'd gladly redo it over "Defeat a Boss without taking damage" challenges. Some boss fights are placed at the very end of a long Track, and if you make a single mistake during said fights, it means you have to do all over it again.

It's one of few, few design choices that I dislike in Hi-Fi Rush, even though it is my personal Game of the Year.

Agreed on this point. 2 changes I'd love for them to make; Just make boss fights standalone post-game (i just wanna refight them on that alone), and a simple "Retry Stage" option when ya die (since the game WANTS you to S-rank every mission, but you can't if you die at all, so you gotta continue, return to hideout, then level select. Damn you Track 8)

I just return to hideout if I get hit and the boss fight resumes from the start of the phaseI left off at. That's how I got the first no damage boss fight challenge.

You can quite easily cheese the "defeat bosses with no damage" challenges using Easy difficulty, 150% extra damage chip, and going back to hideout whenever you get hit.

Also a handy tip is that using your Power Core (at least the ones that pull up a bar at the bottom) can cancel certain boss attacks, some of which may be harder to dodge. For instance, if Rekka goes to pick up the pipes in the phase 3/4 and you use the Power Core, it will cancel her doing so and save you a lot of trouble from a no-damage perspective

Equip the chips for Invincibility and Energy gathering. Then just load it up and use tag team attacks to cancel his attacks and stun him really fast.

technically you can quit out and come back and still get the award. You just gotta do it b4 the next checkpoint so it doesnt save the hit.

I'll try this out once I start doing it.

If you take a hit you can quit to hideout and resume the level and the game will put you back to the start of the current boss phase and it will still count towards the achievement.

I'm trying to get the kale boss fight with no damage but I'm not getting it completed even though I have full health at the end

Currently I don't take damage with 808, during the fights, or during the Parry Sections. The only thing I can think off that I might be messing up is the quick time event at the very end of the fight with the other characters, but I don't know if this counts as damage taken.

Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?

iirc you DO have to do the QTE at the end perfectly as well (for some reason?)
Also make sure you are, in fact, taking 0 damage. Being full health alone isn't enough (Cause you CAN heal).
