seeing how short this game is, is it worth buying it now or wait for a sale?

Define "short".

it has over 10+ hours of gameplay if you're seeking to get everything you can in a first playthrough, and it has quite a bunch of replayability value postgame. I honestly think's the game's worth a bit more than the price it's asking for.

I haven't bought a game at full price in years, the last one being Watch Dogs 1, that game was not worth the price.

This game however I do not regret. Only thing I didn't like was the final boss but it's probably cuz I'm not good at the game lol. It's very fun though.

It's worth $30.

This game is not short. It's 10-12 hours long, which is just right for the kind of game this is—a linear singleplayer game. There is such a thing as a too long game, and those games won't get finished, leaving a bad taste in your mouth because you don't see that satisfying conclusion.

Moreover, it's a game where scoring is a big part of the draw, so you will want to do things such as S-rank everything in the game. There are also modes that are unlocked by beating the game and things on the maps that can only be accessed on subsequent playthroughs.

The game is worth *more* than the 30 bucks they ask.

Doom (Eternal)?

The game takes about 9 to 11 hours in one playthrough, plus it unlocks some new modes and challenges after the first playthrough.
Also, that's 9 to 11 hours of almost zero grinding or backtracking, and solid gameplay.

This game is short compared to open world games and some triple A titles, but every single minute in Hi-Fi rush is absolutely solid. Mileage may vary on the dialogue/story.

Legitimately, this game has the polish of a $60 dollar game, getting it at $30 is a steal.

that is short. imo a game should equal $1=1hour or close enough. i could and have games that were 10-20$ that were great and pretty long. and wasnt filled with grind really, idk if the right kind for this type, there are games which are too long. but wont get finished disagree on. depending. if you talk about games in the last ummm 10 years let say. then fair. 99% of games nowaday are ♥♥♥♥. so this one do seems rare. which is cool. and by Bethesda which is funny imo.

10 hours for a hack'n'slash that's meant to be replayed is anything but short.

There seems to be this weird mentality mainly created by open world RPGs like Skyrim and The Witcher that every game should be 100 hours long or something.

For those games it makes sense for them "to be that long"—quotes because really their stories are not that long, and a lot of the length is due to padding in the forms of filler quests and moving from A to B and so on.

On the other hand, for a linear action game like this or Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, Doom, Max Payne, and other games like that, it makes absolutely zero sense to demand that they should be like 30 hours or something. Even 20 hours is already too long because the game will start to drag on. Games like these work best when they're around 10 hours long or so and are designed to be REPLAYABLE. Not every game is a f*cking Witcher (or another open world RPG style game) nor should it be.

When it comes to length in games, more is not automatically more. Just like there are too long songs and movies, there are too long games. It goes both ways, too short and too long. 10-12 hours for a game like this is just right.

I get where your coming from, i consider an average time for a game to be 1 hour per dollar. And this game does not come close to 30 hours. Nevertheless, this game is easily worth the price because its got EXTREMELY high quality.
