I have another issue but it's much later; generally, when enemies force you into their final "parry this sequence and you kill them" attack, it typically stops the clock during these attacks and resumes afterwards. When you fight Mimosa and she does the same thing, it does NOT stop the clock at all. This is a huge issue since not only does she require multiple parry sequences, but if you ♥♥♥♥ any of them up, you're losing like 5-10 seconds to just waiting for her attack sequence to start again, and there's absolutely nothing you can do except just watch the clock run out. Even if you nail the parry sequences, if you don't have enough time when she starts the sequence, you're still completely screwed because you only get 1.5 seconds off doing a sequence I think. Not sure if this is a bug or intended, but given how she's the only example I can think of where the clock doesn't stop, it just feels really inconsistent.
To be fair, landing Perfects during parries add 1.5s for each input. Just need to consistently land Perfect parries and you'll end up breaking even during Mimosa's fight. My main issue comes at Roquefort...
I just posted my own topic asking about this, so thank you. That definitely makes it a little easier, but there's still a good bit of time wasted during her animations. What's the deal with Roquefort? I assume that's floor 50, right?
yeah, he's floor 50. remember that when he goes down to 1/3 HP, he transforms back into normal and starts running? and you can't land beat hits on him?
and he does this twice?
also, that clearing that fight in a normal run in 404 seconds is somehow still an S rank?
Try Magnet Link Backstab into a special move, he will stand in place looking around confused for a moment giving you time. I've only done it using Hibiki and 808 Gigawatt Cat Attack but it will bring him down to a point where you'll only need to break his shield if he pulls one up in phase one or just poke him from a distance with Peppermint.
Using Gigawatt sounds like a bad idea since he runs away quite soon after the backstab. I'd use Hibiki, but I can't get enough battery from him. He runs away from Shred before the beat hit, so farming batteries of him isn't viable either.
I've taken to just using Echo Splash or YYXX for the windows I get during Backstab. I'll try again tonight.
Huh thats odd that he's getting away from you, I always just did the backstab walked half a step closer and popped it. if you're having trouble building meter try running the 3* chip that gives +30% meter gain I felt like I had more than I could need half of the tower
just to ask, what's your build? I'm planning to run the glass cannon chip and meter gain chip, along with Pick Me Up and Hibiki and see how it goes this time. i wanted to know if you could get away without Pick Me Up (though it does save a lot of time on health)
I used the 2* chip that gives a chance for health items to drop from perfect parries and 3* meter gain. the more health that drops for you the less time you'll need to spend buying health. Special moves were Hibiki and Gigawatt because I had so much meter anytime I saw a floor I didn't really like that had multiple stronger enemies I would just run into the center and immediately Hibiki which puts most 1-2 combos from their Parry sequence combining that with the health from parries chip it would make those floors into health pack floors instead of intimidating encounters. and I saved gigawatt for bosses that you could break armor for once they can't move its easy to get it off.

(If the video isn't available yet, there's also a A-Rank run on my channel which showcases Hibiki against electrified Rekka)
Back to the main question, the only good tactic is outright ignoring her electricity aura with Special Attacks. In the video above, Hibiki removed approximately 70% of her health segment.
I've tried different methods, but they don't work well. Quick Beat Hit -> Jam Combo isn't worth the risk since you have to be point-blank at her, and her aura just instantly damage Chai and cancels his action the moment he touches it.
Shield Wall... isn't great, since electricity tick intervals are short, so it gets destroyed in a blink. Not to mention it is generally bad for scores, because it invalidates your successful Parries, preventing any bonuses.
Rip and Tear does significantly more damage (420+ vs 255) and is cheaper than Hibiki, but it is inaccurate against agile enemies, the damage output is lower the smaller the target is, and is countered by enemy defenses. In practice, it will be quite difficult to 1-shot electrified Rekka with Rip and Tear while she's moving. You will have to wait until she stands still.
Spamming Partners and entirely avoiding her are pretty much the only move you can make when Reverb isn't enough, and that wastes time, so you have to power through her aura with whatever Special Attacks you brought and a full Reverb Gauge.
If you are shooting for an S-Rank, you generally want to avoid buying anything from Korsica. So what I did was getting a Level 3 Chip for Battery income, Pick Me Up and Hibiki so I can heal and do damage with Reverb.
