Press attack buttons only, no movement, while you perform your air combo. Or, go to the Options and scroll down the Gameplay tab to Control Settings, and change “Jump + Heavy Attack Input Priority” to OFF.
You're a godsend, I've been so confused why I keep dropping my aircombos. Is there any reason to keep jump + h priority on?
As far as I can tell, there’s no other way to interrupt an air combo with a Hammer-On.
So what if too many enemies are creeping toward you, or you’ve already depleted your target’s health? Then with the “Input Priority” option set to OFF, you’ll have to do something else. Maybe an aerial Dash → Hammer-On, or just skipping a beat.
