I think it is more likely that they shadow dropped it for the same reason EA shadow dropped Apex. It prevents from hype ruining the expectations and people riling each others up over entirely speculative takes from people that have not played them. :-P
I mean, this game IS RELEASED and we have people here in the forum that make a judgment solely based on videos they have seen and getting angry when people that HAVE played the game disagree.
This way no one has time to make clickbait takes and everyone can just try the game as it releases, untainted by hype and online "conversations".
might not have as much content as destiny or red dead or something but its better than both by a mile and half the price
