Gwen Stacy currently does not exist in this Spider-man universe. Insomniac said so. They said they have left it open to possibly add her in the future if there is a good story around her, but right now she doesn't fit in.

as a long time spider-man and a spider-verse fan, this game still is awesome, but I recommend playing spider-man remastered first!
from the gameplay, combat, swinging, to the story they are absolute gems and I cannot wait until spider-man 2.
these games left me sopping wet in my tears and their story telling is amazing.

miles is still represented in an awesome way, and I think the insomniac universe is one of my favorites.

as for your question, a gwen stacy probably wouldn't fit in this universe as of right now, and if she was in this universe it most likely wouldn't be a spider-woman, but rather another human side-character. but who knows!

again, I still recommend this game to anyone who even relatively likes spider-people.
