PS5 controller touchpad swipe

Touchpad swipe to bring up the FNSM app is not working. It just doesn't do anything. Pressing still brings up the menu. I have only finished the first part of the mission (fixed the subway, but now have to do something with the trains). Is it not supposed to work until I finish this mission or am I doing something wrong? If this doesn't work I basically can't progress.

EDIT: I tested the touchpad outside of the game with DSX, and it's working as expected. Am I just doing something wrong in the game? Or do I have to finish this mission before I can use it to bring up the app?

Resolved. I just wasn't far enough into the story for it to work yet. It introduces you to the app and gives you the first mission from Aaron before you can use it. You have to finish the entirety of Aaron's mission, until the game prompts you to swipe left, then it works.

I am having this problem. The touchpad on my ps4 controller doesn't work at all . But only for this game . I finished beating Rhino and after that I am introduced to the skill tree . I am stuck because I am pressing the touchpad but no response . Please help . 🙏
