you have to go to propertis of the game
then you click beta and go back an update
then it will work
the game always crash on differente version and only on loading screen or restarting the same missionnn

How do you take a screenshot on steam deck?

Are you also having issues with the game not saving?

No, I fixed it by going to home/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/1817190 and renaming the pfx folder in that to something random or you can also just delete it and instead of home/ you can go to the device that you downloaded it on and this works on any game but look up the game id on steamDB and replace 1817190 with the game id

Hi this literally just happened to me as I was messing with the graphical settings and turned on ray tracing, can you dumb it down how you fixed it?, as I’ve only owned my steam deck for a couple days and have never owned a PC

Ok so what you want to do is go to the steam directory folder. You should be able to access this by going to steam, go to a game and right click it. Then hover over manage and click browse local files. On steam deck you can achieve the same thing by going into desktop mode and following the steps. Then click on steamapps in the top of the file manager you use and it should take you to a folder that has common, corrupt, downloading, shader cache, source mods, temp and compatdata. Go to compatdata and go to steamdb(it’s a website). Look up the name of the game you’re looking for and find the app ID. Then go back to compatdata and find the folder called that and delete pfx. Try launching the game and it should work.

I've been having this issue as well...though strangely it's playing perfectly fine on my Steam Deck,no crashes whatsoever.

On the real computer though...time to do some old ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to get the game to work... 🙄
