in this game, i do believe that The Prowler is a really good guy
throughout the game he keeps advising his nephew not to risk himself needlessly and to survive cos its just him and his mom now.


and later is forced to intervene and lock his nephew up in order to protect his nephew when 2 equally bad factions are taring eachother apart.

like... Miles didnt need to cut him off or act as if what he is doing is the worst thing ever
when Prowler... unlike The Tinkerer/Underground and the Roxxon compan... DOES NOT HURT CIVILIANS OR CAUSE CITYWIDE DAMAGES in the entire story arc

like Unironically The Tinkerer/Underground and Roxxon are both equally the worst villain groups Miles are facing but Miles view one side more sympathetically despite the collateral damage they cause.

I still believe Aaron Davis is unironically the few actual good character in the Earth-1048 timeline Miles Morales game. (after retiring from burglary and thieving)

I agree the prowler isn't a bad guy, but he is a anti hero.

Lets not all forget that when miles uncle(Aaron/ prowler) discovered that miles was spiderman and that Phin was the tinkerer, he sold miles by telling Roxxon where the meeting was being held. Despite full well knowing that miles was actively fighting against them.

While yes, he was doing it under the assumption they wouldn't hurt miles, he still went behind his back to do it. Miles was well in his right to cut him off, he lied to miles, and feed roxon info to them, how could he trust telling his uncle when he is working with the same company miles is fighting against.

I don't think the prowler is a bad guy, but he is self serving, he claims to be doing it to protect miles, when in reality he is doing it merely out of guilt from thinking he wasn't there for his brother when he needed him. Lets not also forget the prowler has hurt people by association with roxxon and by doing criminal activity, and that in the story he kidnaps miles, tells him its to protect him "its just you and your mom" when yea if he didn't escape she would be dead too along with anyone in the blast radius.

Its made very clear in the story that the prowler puts his own interest before anyone else, even family.

The reason miles is more sympathetic to the tinkerer is she is doing it not only for revenge, but to also save others from being killed by toxic materials. I don't think they are equally the worst, roxxon knew it was making people sick, they didn't care, the tinkerer did but was misguided by not realizing what they were doing was dangerous, phin did not know it was going to be as bad as it was. Thats the main difference.


but a tldr: I agree the prowler is not a bad guy, he clearly knows he made bad choices, but by no means is he a good guy, when he betrayed miles, worked with roxxon, actively tried to stop miles from saving hundreds of people, even his mother, all under the excuse that he was protecting miles.

My point is the prowler isn't innocent, he has done just as much bad things as both factions, if not worse because he had helped roxxon in the past. If nothing else you cannot deny the fact lying to miles and kidnapping him when everyone including his mom was at risk is bad, and it was again entirely self serving,

uhh if you listened to the dialogue... the henchmen know that being near the toxic materials are toxic and also harmful and some were questioning whether what they were being ordered to do the right thing

like its heavily implied she doesnt give a ♥♥♥♥ about her henchmen just as much as Roxxon.
basically she is doing the same thing as Roxxon

What Aaron did was understandable, but it was short-sighted and selfish. He could have done more to work with and help Miles in an honest way. And even forgetting how much of a betrayal it was to sell out Phin knowing how much she meant to Miles, he should have known not to trust Roxxon even with his son. And given the city's imminent destruction, he should have known keeping Miles locked up would make Rio's death a certainty.

Aaron isn't a bad guy, but he is so focused on protecting his nephew that he isn't able to see the consequences for his actions. Although, given how he came through in the end, it is possible for all of their relationships to heal. Aaron has shown that he is truly capable of changing.
