FIX for crash after continuing the game: Run Miles Morales as Admin
So, this crash has been pestering me for days, ever since I bought the game. Note - I bought the game on the Epic Store, but the fix should also work for Steam and it's very simple.

Navigate to MilesMorales.exe inside of C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\MarvelsMilesMorales

Right click MilesMorales.exe and run as administrator. Choose your settings in the MilesMorales launcher and play.

I did this and was able to play for about 3 hours just now with NO issues, even when dying and when retrying challenges. I also completely exited the game and re-launched it as admin just to be sure I could use the "Continue" option without issue, and it worked.

I think something is going on that is forbidding MilesMorales write access to the save file in the Documents folder. I noticed that my "Documents" folder allowed write privileges for administrators. So by running the game as admin, it seems we are giving the game write access to the save file.

Try deleting all your saves in the document folder and then running as admin. Also make sure to right click the Miles Morales folder and go to properties and make sure that administrators have write access to the folder.

The developers definitely screwed something up with how the auto-saves are written to memory. But doing the above worked for me when nothing else did (I tried the regedit fix, verified integrity of game cache, the save replacement fix, and reinstalled the game).

Anyone know how to change the location?

I had the same problem. By closing OneDrive the problem no longer occurs.

Onedrive is uninstalled from day one and i tried launching the game as admin.

Does not work reliably, it still crashes from time to time when restarting hideouts or challenges.
I found the fix(at least worked for me)
1-Right click on MilesMorales.exe
2-open properties
3-Go to compatibility tab
4-Turn the disable fullscreen optimizations on
5-apply and ok
now run the game problem must be solved
