Is there a possibility to have two separate profiles so two players can play to separate games?

Unless you manually swap them or only use manual saves, there isnt. You could also use family sharing on a second steam account (if it works with this game because i do not know) and then each will have their own saves. But you wont be able to play at the same time unless one of the clients is offline.
