I'm not talking about the MCU.
I'm talking about a glaring plothole.
The game has the Avengers tower in it.
Saying Spider-man doesn't need help when half the city is in ruins, is like Police ignoring a robbery, because someone will probably disarm the culprit.
It makes no sense.
The Avengers ignore burning cities, wars and massive crimes all the time. Whatever they're choosing to do involves ignoring a crisis somewhere else.
Where were the DC characters, Superman etc, during Arkham City/Knight? It's a dull question. No character could have their own stories if the reader/player demanded an intervention every time there were high stakes. Stakes would never be all that high if an ultimate team or a god was coming in to assist.
have you met the police
Same reason most of the time other heroes don't show up in standalone comics. If the whole gang was showing up to deal with one regular villain, the fights would be over pretty quick.
Rip lol, it's one of the worst games ever
ah, I see, a crisis even more serious than the fate of the world
Miles' scenario in this game doesn't take that many days. It's Christmas season when it starts and Christmas season when it ends. If I had to guess, I'd say the whole Tinkerer issue resolves itself over the course of a few days. Also, she's only really an existential threat to NYC for a few hours.
You get a similar thing in the Arkham games, which are each purportedly taking place over the course of a single night. The time-frame and "they're all busy" arguments help in each case.
But otherwise, suspension of disbelief. :-P
