Tearing issue
Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for this. I'm experiencing a lot of tearing, sometimes during gameplay, but BIG TIME during cutscenes. I'm not really sure what the issue is.

NVIDIA RTX 3070 and VSYNC is on as recommended.

Whenever I search for the issue, everyplace just says to turn VSYNC on, but it already is, so I dunno.

did you try exclusive fullscreen mode and framerate limit set to 60? maybe it helps.
apart from this, the only other thing i can think of is perhaps nvidia control panel overriding the game settings. could try disabling vsync in game and enabling in control panel for the game specifically.

should keep an eye on your fps tho through something like msi afterburner or fraps cuz apart from higher fps than your refresh rate can handle, idk what else can cause screen tears

ive never heard of tearing with vsync on. whats your monitor's refresh rate and how much fps are you getting when the tearing happens?

Resolution is 3840x2160
Refresh rate is 59.997hz in windows display settings and set to "highest available" in NVIDIA control panel. I also chose the most optimized settings in Geforce Experience and have the latest driver.

It seems to mainly affect cutscenes. I don't see a lot of tearing while swinging around, but there is a tear going almost constantly through cutscenes. It's the damnedest thing.

if you use a g-sync monitor you should turn off vsync in the game anyways and enable it in the nvcp but if not, the just use the ingame vsync and leave the nvcp setting on default. is it really tearing or maybe the ingame motion blur? try and set this one to zero.

Turned off Vsync in the game settings and used NVidia control panel to set Vsync to "fast" and it's so far so good.

Yeah, 3060TI here and it's extremely disappointing that the VSYNC setting in-game does absolutely nothing. Had to make it exclusive fullscreen, turn off vsync in game, turn on vsync and 60fps lock in NVidia Control Panel, then turn on 60fps lock in-game anyway. If anyone knows how to enable FreeSync in this game, let me know.
