Some things to check. Are you using the latest NVIDIA graphic driver that has the Game Ready driver specific for this game?
Is your Windows operating system up to date. I presume you are on Windows 10, although I'm using Win11 my other PC runs Win10 and its on 22H2 build. So check yours. You know how to do 'winver' from the Start Menu to see your Windows version right I hope, then go to Windows Update in Settings to see if you have updates available.
Last, I hope you are playing at 1920x1080 , in my opinion that's the appropriate screen resolution for this type of video card because it has just 6GB of VRAM. I'm playing off an old 40" 1080p HDTV. Settings are set to the Highest Preset and the FPS is actually looking pretty decent in the open world between 90-100fps.
Yes, today I updated to Game Ready, my windows is on Win11 at 21H2 and yes, I am using 1920x1080 resolution, but even with these items listed above, the game does not open, giving a problem of "video memory greater than the current limit of your system" , thanks for the help, but I still don't know what happened to my computer. (i'm Brazilian and my english isn't very good)
And as it has been mentioned already in the replies here, use the latest drivers for your GPU.
How much system RAM does your PC have?
Have you check and verified your Page File is set to in Windows? Microsoft recommends people not use the automatic configured setting. Have a look: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-client/performance/slow-page-file-growth-memory-allocation-errors
Do you have other processes running in the back ground? Might want to close a few.
Also I recommend setting the custom graphic setting in Windows Settings > Gaming > Game Mode > Graphic > Use the Browse desktop app and locate Spider-Man in the Steam common files game folder and go to the Options of it and set it to High Performance specifying your GPU. I do that for all my PC games, to get a little extra performance boost out of them. You might want to try that.
Also what brand is your graphics card. Mine is Gigabyte Aorus, I use the Aorus Engine OC tuner to squeeze all the performance out of my card.
