Crash Loading Anything Other Than Manual Save

I had this same issue on the Remastered Spider Man. After a while (not at first), Retry caused anything other than "Load Manual Save" to crash during initial load. Once this occurred the first time, it was permanent regardless of the save file used to initially start. It was annoying as hell to manual save so often, but it got me through. Unfortunately, the same thing has started up on Miles Morales and I'm just starting out. Something in the save files are getting corrupted I think and it's not caught during a file integrity check.

Game file checks, drivers, PC spec's, etc...are all fine.

Thanks for this suggestion. Using a backup save does allow me to choose "Continue" from the main menu without crashing. However, once in the game, it crashes any time I fast travel.

My steam closes itself with 95% of the download finished, has anyone seen a problem like this? The other spider man I had no problem.

Mine does the same (manual load crashing, fast travel crashing) but it's inconsistent. I suspect that if I have too many other things open on my computer the game crashes more at these loading points. When I boot the computer fresh it doesn't crash (or as much). I think my computer is strong enough only when it's not being taxed by other things.

Also, some parts of the game seem to make it crash more, like screwball challenges or some sable bases.

Make a manual save before you attempt any challenge for the first time and if you want to retry a challenge, quit to the main menu, go to load game and load the manual save you made. That will load the game fine.

Autosaves in this game are horribly broken. DO NOT RELY ON THEM EVER. Frequent manual saving is your friend to avoid losing progress.

Mines crashing too. Tried updating Nvidia drivers and verifying Steam files. Always crashes after death. Frequently crashes when loading any save game.

Today we released an update for Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales that includes a fix for a buffer overflow issue to address crashes to desktop that could occur for some players on Windows 11 systems after loading a save game or retrying a challenge.
