Minimum OS requirements?

Hi! I'm really excited about this project, I've noticed that the minimum OS requirement is Windows 10, does that mean this game is DX12 only? I still use Windows 8.1 (and the current world situation isn't making finances easy for getting new hardware), it doesn't look like Modern Naval Warfare would need a super powerful computer because you'll be spending a lot of the time staring at ingame screens, is there really a DX12 / Windows 10 requirement or will this work on older OSs too under DX11?

you can upgrade to win10/11 free from win7/8/8.1 so... no finances are needed.

Thanks for the info! Since the computer is very old upgrading to windows 11 isn't possible because that has strict hardware requirements, and I'm also trying to avoid upgrading to windows 10 on this because I'm worried about hardware compatibility issues. I'm sure the computer could play this game (at least the screen parts) if it can run on DX11, so it would be good to know for sure!

I am in borderline for requirements as my laptop has this specs:

MSI GE75 Raider 2020

CPU: Intel Core i7 10750H
RAM: 32 GB DDR4 at 2933 MHz
Hard Drices: 512 GB Samsung SSD + 1 TB HDD
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super Mobile 8 GB DDR6
OS: Windows 10 Home 64 bits

I see requirements are too high for laptops. But in the future I will purchase a new modern one.

I did ask on discord waaay back in winter 2020 short after the announcement, i was on win7 till summer 2021. One of the devs said they can not officially support it, but most likely win7 would work just fine with the technology they use.

But as said, that was in winter 2020, so it may have changed.
