Seriously though I was hoping for character customizations like in Final Fantasy 14. I have no problems with adding non binary options and allowing anyone to customize their character anyway they want. But, instead of proper character customization they all look the same. Feels more like lazy development.
Really? I can't think of one tbh, can you name a couple?
I know you were joking but that is what the non binary option is for lol.
People should have a choice to play as a male that looks male or a female that looks female or a choice that looks like neither.
This was just plain laziness and I'm like 8 seconds into the game and it's a bad impression.
BINGO!
not to this level... I mean why even give a choice at all, it just smacks of laziness.
Second, ask yourself 'Why?'
Jokes aside the male character being so effeminate is rather funny, especially given how very little difference there is between the two, to a point I'm honestly not sure they put any effort into it. It's not a matter of pleasing anyone, it's just lazy modelling.
I would have been totally fine with a FEMALE only character.
I have always thought that more games need female leads.
Control, Gears 4 and 5, Tomb Raider etc all incredible stories and characters
Almost certainly this. The characters are so similar to make modeling and animating them easier.
