pay to win

You don't have to pay at all... but a huge grind awaits you... I haven't paid anything yet and I have played about 300 hours and unlocked all achievements, 31 cars in the garage and a completed career at 58%

It is truly free. You can play without spending a cent. You will have to play the career mode to unlock more cars but you'll start to build up a collection fairly quickly. Some races will require specific cars be unlocked and you may have to wait a while to get those, but you eventually will even if you don't pay. The card packs are totally random, which is a poor design in my opinion. Either way this game is one of the better racing games out there.

The packs of cards are random, but you can buy a lot of things with credits in the store...you just have to watch the offers...mostly there are things you need...so you have to race a lot and have credits for the cards.

sure the game doesn't force you to buy stuff but progressing in this game is so slow and excruciating. upgrading cars eventually gets ridiculously expensive and some challenges require you to finish a race with a specific car, which you only get to unlock once in a blue moon.

forgot to add:
some car blueprints are obtainable from events and multiplayer, some are only obtainable from card packs, in which you have no choice other than to cough up some money if you want to progress faster, that's also if you don't have enough of those blue asphalt tokens, or whatever bs currency the game has, which can only be bought with real money.

To keep it short, the game is free to play but once you start playing you'll realize how much they encourage spending money. You won't be able to progress at the rate you want because there is so much gatelocked content.

this. can't really expect much from a mobile game

The ONLY reason I have this game on Steam is because I have 100% of the achievements on the Windows store version so it was an easy "Perfect Game" for me. Also I have played the game since 2019 so I am in a way better place than people who are just starting, But this game is 100% P2W and too some extent Pay2Play due to most events requiring you too spend £100's on a SINGLE car (which I have/will never do) so if you have just installed the game or are looking to play it, DON'T, Don't let Gamesloft get away with their predatory monetisation practises.
Either that or grind2win and I mean GRRIIIIIND!

as i love cars it got me, ill paid some bucks,
the process is also slooow so have patience and look a couple guides to properly advance.

This is your typical gatcha experience but with cars, there is some fun to have it when you have enough resources but from episode 3 is just a grind, if you enjoy gatcha and monetisation shovel in your face every second that's the game for you

it literally forces you do pay up or grind for 2 months to play 1 race in mycareer at a certain point..

Then it starts again with grinding for Credits nad hoping you might get the Star Up/Unlock Car to get the flags.

they even nerfed the credit you get from some race in the carer, for example there was on chapter 4 a event that gave you 1500 credits for a 45 second race with a class D Car (15 min to refill) since is too much convenient now is giving 1100 credits.

yas, this sucks the hardest. To progress career I currently need to unlock like 5-6 cars, got zero cards for some of them.
