I've tried Kobold Kare a few months ago and unless it's had some big updates, I wouldn't recommend it. It's very buggy and from what I remember, not really much to do.
As a game recommendation, I would join the OP in suggesting 'Hotel Elera' on ItchIO. It's VR (though I can't remember if it had 2d support), and while there's not much to do, there's a free public demo that gets updated regularly on Patreon.
There's a couple of characters you can interact with and use toys on, with the dev looking as though they're going for an actual story rather than just porn game. Sort of a mini-quest or two, and it seems like it has a lot of potential.
HeatVR is okay, but honestly I'm wondering if it's a scam game. Good graphics and all, but it's been in development for many years and is pulling huge amounts of backer money without really much to show for it. Single-person Indie devs have made small open world games with dozens of characters for less money and time than it's taken HeatVR to manage a couple of rooms with some simple interactions.

yeah I must agree it's pretty bare bones atm and the price is to high for what you get

You do have to be in the Patreon to play it. It's only $12 a month though, which actually isn't a lot given how unbelievably powerful the software is. That said, it's only worthwhile if you actually intend to use it, too, and that's an investment of time and learning, so, I guess decide for yourself.
