Help accessing an area?

I've been running around on top of the map and noticed a window with a big smiley face in it when i look down . How do I actually go about getting there?

Edit: I have since managed to 100% all of level 1

how can you even get to top of the map?? I struggling on level 1, I solved all possible puzzles, and still have a lot of locked areas and tower is still locked :(

You can unlock the tower by solving orange puzzles around the map, and that's what lets you get out of the normal play area. There's a lot of walls you can walk through with stuff behind them.

Are the orange puzzles the ones with things like "Learn + Unsew"? I have zero idea how to solve those. The only one I managed was one that said "Art + Art" and I stumbled into it since it was a 3 letter word starting with E.

@SupremeLordEnder I *think* you unlock it by completing the painting gallery area.

@Sherlip There's a certain area that helps to reveal the nature of orange puzzles: You'll need to find and complete a small collection of rooms combining purple with white and sometimes other colors.
